Greetings!
OK, let me try this again with the non-beta version.
Checking out a neighbors slow running laptop. Started out taking a few minutes to do anything - such as drop down a menu, etc. I noted that booting into safe mode, it is fairly normal speed. Others had worked on it (including installing AVG anti-virus), and I noted an expired copy of Norton AV was still installed. Removing this sped it up some, but it still is running much slower than I might expect (like 10 seconds to drop down a menu).
AVG and Spybot S&D both updated and show no threats currently. Interestingly, Ad-aware gets a "forbidden application by group policy" when attempting to install. Various process monitors (task manager, process explorer) didn't show anything that lept out at me, but hey, you folks are the experts.
Laptop is a Toshiba Satellite, from 2004-ish, running XP SP2. Note that currently there are a few downloaded windows update files that appear to be corrupt or clobbered, they fail to install, and just try again on the next cycle - I'll have to clean those out so they can re-download. Once, when attempting to let a RunAnalyzer upload go, the video DLL reported a problem (and the vidoe did indeed go wonky).
I'm going to investigate possible hardware issues, but first, I thought I'd post a log here and get it checked out.
Thanks in advance!
