my computer policy, privileges, administrating powers have changed. not by me. new assigned logon have been granted, remote desktop has been changed to allow when i set settings for that and many more to be disabled. i need to copy detailed event viewer from the last few days and send it out to someone before he removes it. or like in the past ,disables me to where i have no choice but to format and reload os. hurry please he wakes up soon and will know.
you're not being too clear on the problem?
However. Click start: 'run' and type in: gpedit.msc
then press enter.
You'll be presented with a screen with a range of options which sounds like it'll do what you're requesting
Hope this helps.
thanks for the help, but after entering gpedit.msc- error came up saying windows could not find gpedit.msc to make sure i typed it in correctly and try search. if that does not work try search.which came up,full search ,no results.
i mean he's changed policy that sould be illegal.things like : allow remote adminustration, allow unicast ,port listed exception remote desktop upnp smb over tcp.trusted registration-will be trusted logon process name ,lan manager workstation winlogin/msgina/ksecdd, he even change the password to the guest account i created, that i password protected. he changed it and i cannot access it. i mean stuff like nt authority/anonymous logon, dude ..whats that all about?
Darn i was just getting use to you. thanks anyway.
but tell me ,why?is it because your not familiar with the road we are about to go down and its possible legal implications or is it i am coming off…..lets say a little off?
thanks again
It's just that i don't think i can provide the right help you need in this area, i'm sure that someone else will be able to help you more than i can in this case, it's not you at all ! good luck in getting it sorted!

Hello whatthehey,
When a person of skill and devious intent has physical access to a computer, there is relatively little in the way of malicious activity that can be prevented by an owner/user of lesser knowledge and skill.
From your statements alluding to fear/desperation ("hurry please he wakes up soon and will know."), and the description of the changes to the machine that you've noticed, it appears that you have such a situation.
This is a matter of human behavior to be resolved with discussion, rules, and hopefully agreement, rather than an issue that can be resolved with remote technical advice addressing an ambiguous and out of control situation.
Is it possible to address difficult situations like what you describe.
Sure.
Network IT folks and monitors of school computer labs have to do it all the time.
But they have adequate training, knowledge of their system, control of password protection, and physical security.
Short of preventing physical access of this individual from your machine, there is little that you can do if they intend to persist with their hostile intent and activities.
Best Regards
