Hi ranled,

I'm glad your machine is running better, however your machine isn't quite clean yet:

Backup Your Registry with ERUNT:
  • Please use the following link and scroll down to ERUNT and download it.
    http://aumha.org/freeware/freeware.php
  • For version with the Installer: use the setup program to install ERUNT on your computer
  • For the zipped version: Unzip all the files into a folder of your choice, such as C:\ERUNT
Run ERUNT from the start menu, or double-click Erunt.exe to backup your registry to the folder of your choice.
Note: to restore your registry, go to the backup folder and start ERDNT.exe

Then, open Notepad (press Start->Run, enter notepad and press OK)
Copy everything inside the code box below (Starting with REGEDIT4) and paste it into a new notepad file.
Change the Save As Type to All Files and save it as fix.reg to your Desktop.

Note: Please copy and paste all the text at once, and check that there is NO blank line above REGEDIT4 and one blank line at the bottom.
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List]
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\RANDYL~1\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\win36.tmp.exe"=-
"C:\\WINDOWS\\TEMP\\win64.tmp.exe"=-
Locate fix.reg on your Desktop, if you did it right it should look like this:[external image: Posted Image]
Double-click it, when it asks if you want to merge with the registry, click Yes.

If you wish to remove K-Lite Pro then:
  • Open HijackThis, choose Do a system scan only and place a checkmark next to the following line:
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Shareaza] "C:\Program Files\K-litePro\K-litePro.exe" -tray
  • Close all open windows apart from HijackThis, press Fix checked, OK the prompt and close HijackThis.
Next, download OTMoveIt to your desktop. and double-click the program to start it.
Select the contents of the below file list, then press Ctrl+C to copy it to the clipboard
In OTMoveIt, click in the left-hand pane and press Ctrl+V to paste the file-list into the program
If you wish to remove K-Lite Pro, then add this folder to the bottom of the list: C:\Program Files\K-litePro
Then, press MoveIt!
Copy the Results output and paste it into a new notepad file so you can post it in your next response. Do this by clicking in the right-hand pane, press Ctrl-A then Ctrl-C to select all and copy. Then open Notepad, press Ctrl-V to paste in the text, and save this text file to your desktop.

OTMoveIt file list:
C:\PROGRA~1\FNTS~1\rundll32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\yxhgyepa.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\adqgimyg.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\iswkuncv.dll
C:\WINDOWS\retadpu1000272.exe
C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\win64.tmp.exe
C:\DOCUME~1\RANDYL~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\win36.tmp.exe
Now reboot your computer normally

Then please do an online scan with Kaspersky:

Open Kaspersky Online Scanner in Internet Explorer

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky,
Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT and then Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • The program will start to scan your system.
  • Once the scan is complete, click on the Save as Text button and save the file to your desktop
Note for Internet Explorer 7 users: If at any time you have trouble with the accept button of the license, click on the Zoom tool located at the right bottom of the IE window and set the zoom to 75 %. Once the license is accepted, reset to 100%.

Once complete, please post the OTMoveIt log, the Kaspersky log and a new HijackThis log.
The computer still seems to be running well. When i'm done with all of these programs can i delete them? Here are the logs:

Hi ranled,

Yes, once we're done you can delete them, however OTMoveIT has a cleanup function which cleans most of these tools for you, including itself, which we'll use in this post.

We have a few more files to remove, so please run OTMoveIt once more:

Select the contents of the below file list, then press Ctrl+C to copy it to the clipboard
In OTMoveIt, click in the left-hand pane and press Ctrl+V to paste the file-list into the program

Kaspersky detects the AmeriRes software as adware, so unless you use this program and wish to keep it, please add this to the bottom of the OTMoveIt file list:

C:\Program Files\AmeriRes 2.1

Then, press MoveIt!
Copy the Results output and paste it into a new notepad file so you can post it in your next response. Do this by clicking in the right-hand pane, press Ctrl-A then Ctrl-C to select all and copy. Then open Notepad, press Ctrl-V to paste in the text, and save this text file to your desktop.

OTMoveIt file list:
C:\Documents and Settings\Randy Leduc\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\dsbr.jar-51e543a5-60a4f550.zip
C:\Documents and Settings\Randy Leduc\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\java.jar-3e64ee5b-22f6558b.zip
C:\Documents and Settings\Randy Leduc\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\version.jar-7239fec5-6f4b164d.zip
C:\Documents and Settings\Randy Leduc\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\version.jar-c4f1000-742d48f0.zip
C:\Program Files\AmeriRes 2.1\AmeriRes.dll
C:\Program Files\ProSiteFinder
Once you have saved the log information in a text file, use the CleanUp function:
  • Close all programs apart from OTMoveIt as this step will require a reboot
  • On the OTMoveIt main screen, press the CleanUp! button
  • Say Yes to the prompt and then allow the program to reboot your computer.
Most of the tools we have used will now have been cleaned from your computer, you can also now delete OiUninstaller.zip (if you still have it), fix.reg and the ERUNT installer.

Old versions of Java are a security risk and should be removed. I think you have updated your Java version, but did you remove all the older versions? Please open Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and remove all but the latest version (jre1.6.0_01)

Empty AVG Antispyware Quarantine
  • Open AVG Antispyware and select Infections from the top menu
  • Click Select All and then Remove finally
  • Close AVG Antispyware
Create a new, clean System Restore point which you can use in case of future system problems:
Press Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore
Select Create a restore point, then Next, type a name like clean then press the Create button and once it's done press Close

Now remove old, infected System Restore points:
Next click Start->Run and type cleanmgr in the box and press OK
Ensure the boxes for Temporary Files and Temporary Internet Files are checked, you can choose to check other boxes if you wish but they are not required.
Select the More Options tab, under System Restore press Clean up… and say Yes to the prompt
Press OK and Yes to confirm

Once complete, please post the OTMoveIt log and a new HijackThis log.
Here you go,

Hi ranled,

I think your machine is finally clean!

Here are some tips to help you keep it that way:

Operating system vulnerabilities can easily be exploited by malware so please ensure your operating system is automatically kept up to date by using Windows Update:
Go to Start->Control Panel->Automatic Updates
Select Automatic and select a suitable schedule
Also, check that your antivirus and antispyware programs are set to automatically update daily.

You now have AVG Antispyware installed which is an excellent program, however it's real-time protection functionality is not free. I recommend you consider purchasing the full version of the program, but if you choose not to, you should install another antispyware program with real-time protection - there are several free programs available with this capability, one I can recommend is Windows Defender, available here:
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/s…re/default.mspx

You should consider installing a Personal Firewall program. Even if you are behind a NAT router, I recommend you use firewall software as it will improve the security of your computer by monitoring and controlling outbound connections to the internet as well as inbound. There are various free packages available, I recommend Sunbelt Software's Kerio or Zone Alarm:
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Kerio
http://www.zonelabs.com/

IESPYADS helps protect you from malicious websites by placing a list of known bad websites in Internet Explorer's Restricted Zone. This Zone limits the capabilities of these websites including preventing them from installing software. This will compliment your security software and I recommend you install it:
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/uiuc/resource.htm

Consider a custom hosts file such as MVPS HOSTS. This custom hosts file effectively blocks a wide range of unwanted ads, banners, 3rd party Cookies, 3rd party page counters, web bugs, and many hijackers.
For information on how to download and install, please read this tutorial by WinHelp2002
If you choose to install this, be sure to follow the DNS Client service instructions before doing so.

Please take care when downloading programs. One of the easiest ways to be infected is to download freeware/shareware programs which come laden with malware. Before downloading, it is crucial to check whether the source is reputable.
One way to check is to use McAfee SiteAdvisor. Copy the domain name into the space provided and SiteAdvisor will give you a report on the website which can help you decide if it is safe. They also have a toolbar for IE and Firefox which adds this functionality to your browser.

Please post back to let me know that you have read this, and if there are any further issues.
Thanks alot for the help, otherwise i would have needed to take it to a technician. One last question, i have two programs that are in my add-remove program list that i can't get rid of (EA network play and Bass championship). Any idea how to get rid of them? For the EA network play i think i may have deleted it without uninstalling first. For the bass championship i tried to install it but my computer froze, so i think it may be partly installed.
Hi ranled,

Uninstalling using the program's uninstaller is best, because it usually removes the program files, start menu shortcuts and registry entries completely.

If the Add/Remove Programs function doesn't work, and if you have the installation programs or media, reinstalling the programs and then uninstalling again often solves the problem, and this is the method I recommend you use.

If you can't do that or it doesn't work, as a last resort you can simply delete the relevant program files folder, e.g. C:\Program Files\Bass Championship and then use HijackThis to remove the entry from Add/Remove Programs:
Open HijackThis, select Open the Misc Tools section
Press the Open Uninstall Manager… button, find the relevant program on the list and press Delete this entry
thanks for all the help. I haven't used any online banking or shopping since you warned me about the password thing,is it safe for me to do that again?
Yes your computer is safe now, so feel free to use it for those purposes. However, please do change all your passwords. I recommend you re-read the warning I gave at the start of this thread about your internet banking/credit card information. The malware on your system was designed specifically to steal this information, and the risk is very real. If there is any chance that the bad guys have your information, then the sooner you act then less likely it is to cause you a problem. If you have any questions on this then let me know.

Best of luck :)
Since this issue appears to be resolved, this topic has been closed. Glad we could be of assistance. If you are the topic starter and need this topic reopened, please PM a staff member with a link to this thread and we will reopen it for you. Anyone else who needs assistance should begin a new topic.
