Recovered From Yucky Trojan Still Need Help

Have compaq pc running xp 512 Mg

Had a real nasty (for me) trojan that was giving me a warning that

Systray: Virus Alert!: Your Computer is infected!

My homepage was taken to some website selling snake oil to cure my pc.

I used SmitfraudFix and Ewido seemed to be all fine.

on later scans I kept getting a trojan found in my sytem restore folder.

Now my pc runs real slow. uses some 60 -90 megs in svchost.exe

I get many windows saying that windows explorer must restart.

as a side point, lavasoft adaware will not update

now do i just nuke my system ? or is it any use to me if you all take a look at my HijackThis log?

I will paste what i think I am supposed to.

Ihave never used it or done this before. hope i am not breaking any protocol.

Hi -

• Please download Combofix from one of the following links:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/Beta/ComboFix.exe
- and save to the Desktop.

1. Double click on combo.exe & follow the prompts.
2. When finished, it will produce a logfile located at C:\ComboFix.txt.
3. Post the contents of that log in your next reply with a new hijackthis log.

Note: Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause your system to stall/hang.

• Post back with the combofix.txt log and just the HijackThis log.
