Greetings,

I keep getting an annoying windows error message everytime I transfer files from one folder to another (either networked or local). After the transfer, the error window pops up and says windows explorer must close. I close it then the system reloads as if I have just logged back in. Strangely, all of the other programs (if any) that are open at that time are not affected by the 'reloading'. I have updated Norton, fully scanned, online spyware scanned (Spyware guide and Trend Micro) and have used Spybot several times to no avail. Please help me to see if there is another evil on my machine I have been unable to find. Thank you,
Jason

Hello and welcome to the forums

I have no idea what is causing the issues you're having, but we can see if we can find something.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time.

Next:

Download AVG Anti-Spyware from HERE and save that file to your
desktop.
This is a 30 day trial of the program
  • Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop
and double-click it to launch the set up program.

your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears.
