Welcome to Tom Coyote

What you need to do is post a Hijackthis log along with an explanation of any issues you feel are Malware or Virus related. This is all I need at this time

Hijackthis 1.99.1
Its important that Hijackthis is installed in its own permanent folder for backup purposes.
  • Use the link above or the links in my signature to download HJT 1.99.1 setup to your desktop
  • Double Click on the Setup icon and by defaut it will unzip to C:\Program Files\Hijackthis
  • Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad
  • Go to Edit> Select All.....Edit > Copy and Paste the new log into this thread.
  • Please use Posted Imageand not Posted Image
DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

theceltx1, :D

Your log looks fine, I see nothing bad on it  Avast was written up in this months issue of PCWorld Magazine as one of the better Anti Virus programs so I would stick with it. You should only have ONE Anti Virus program installed, more than one can cause many problems so your ok in that department.

You can install Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, they will get along just fine. Make sure you have the latest version of Spybot and Ad Aware, you can use the links in my signature to download the most recent versions.

How did I get infected in the first place ? Read these links and find out how to prevent getting infected again.

Thanks for stopping by Tom Coyote
