I use Winpatrol and I randomly check if everything there is safe. I clicked on NTDETECT.COM and it said it was a safe file..but it said NTDETECT.EXE is a known virus/trojan. Every now and then NTDETECT.EXE pops up on my processes then it disappears without me ending its process. I'm usually paranoid about getting viruses and other stuff in my computer so I run scans daily. I use Avast, AVG Anti-spyware, Spybot S&D, and Ad-Aware and I have never had any viruses show up after a scan. I rebooted in safe mode today and did full scans with Avast and AVG Anti-Spyware and found nothing. I'm wondering how to find and if I need to delete NTDETECT.EXE. Any help is much appreciated. Even as I type this I can see NTDETECT.EXE on my Windows Task Manager and then disappearing. :|
Here's my log file.

Are you still seeing the ntdetect.exe? So far I have not found any malware.

No, I haven't been seeing it. I found a file NDETECT.EXE it says It's an updater for Symantec Internet Security Suite. I think that's what was being shown in the processes. It only came on for a split second then disappearing . I thought it was NTDETECT.EXE. Thanks for taking the time in helping me figure out what it was.
