I have had a strange fault develop in my boot up time.

When I start the windows screen appears very quickly < 1 min. However nothing much seems to happen for at least a further 2/3 minutes when my Zone alarm finally starts.

Windows task manager shows little happening during this time ie computer usage very low.

There has definately been a slow down although I do not have quantitative data other than that above.

Is there a problem or is it just me?

PS during this 2 minute period I can do very little ie impossible to connect to internet etc.
