Okay, so I accidentally clicked the wrong thing at the wrong time. Now HJT is set to delete my autoexec.bat on my next reboot. Please tell me there is a way I can stop this from happening. Preferrably before my power goes out or computer hangs LOL. There really needs to be an "are you sure?" added into that feature…
Download killbox.exe here

Double click on killbox.exe to launch the program

Click the Remove item menu and then click on Remove PendingFileRenameOperations

Go to start>run and paste this into the box:

regedit /a /e C:\run.txt "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager"

Open C:\run.txt in notepad
Use edit>find to check if autoexec.bat is present anywhere in there

If autoexec.bat is present, do not reboot

If autoexec.bat is not present, then it should not be deleted on reboot
Well, running Killbox worked. I ran the "remove pending filename operations". But I can't double check the way you told me to. However the remove pending…. button is now grayed out, so I can only assume that it did the trick. I hope. When I copy the command string you gave me into the "run" bax, nothing happens.
Yeah I can only assume it worked. I'll go reboot now. If it worked, I'll let you know. If you never hear from me again it's because my computer became a paperweight LOL.
