I keep getting a bubble popping up form the toolbar stating that the system has detected virus activities and these may impare the performance of my computer (AVG finds nothing), and it goes on to ask please use antimalware, if you click on it a page to Antivermins appears.

Also, I have tried using the system restore to go back a day and this will not work, keeps coming up cannot restore even going back a couple of days says the same thing yet in the past it has never been a problem.

Below is a logfile.

Any help will be gratefull received, thanks folks.

Hi andrewjamesmm and wlecome to the Forums :)

You got some infections there…

Your HijackThis is running from an unsecure location. Download HijackThis to your desktop from here
Create a new folder for HijackThis and move HijackThis.exe into it.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc…processutil.htm

NOTE: Do not run any other options from SmitfraudFix until I tell you to do so!
Thanks for the guidance here are the 2 logs………

A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.

Run HijackThis, click Do a system scan only, and check the box next to each of these entries if still present. Close all other windows and press Fix checked. If something isn't there, please continue with the next entry in the list.

Hi again, it is looking clean now :)
The pc runs fine ?

Fix this leftover with HijackThis:
O16 - DPF: {DF780F87-FF2B-4DF8-92D0-73DB16A1543A} - http://webgames.d.tmsrv.com/c=3c1512b8a16d…aploader_v6.cab

You don't have an antivirus on your computer, you must install one antivirus. Otherwise you'll get infected again.

These are good (free) antiviruses:Now you can clean AVG's Quarantine:
  • Open AVG Anti-Spyware
  • Click Infections
  • Click Quarantine tab
  • Click Select all
  • Click Remove finally
  • Close the program
You can remove the tools we used.

Then you should update your Java to the latest version (6.0)
  • Start
  • Control Panel
  • Add/Remove Programs
  • Delete the old Java, J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.0.
  • Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications."
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement."
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Install it
=============

Now that you seem to be clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:
  • Clear your system restore
This will clear the system restore folders from possible malware that was left behind during the cleaning process.
  • Use ATF Cleaner
Download and install ATF Cleaner. Clean your temporary files & folders with it regularly.
  • Use Ad-Aware
Download and install Ad-Aware. Update it and scan your computer regularly with it.
  • Use AVG Anti-Spyware
Update it and scan your computer regularly with it.
  • Use Spybot S&D
Download and install Spybot S&D. Update it and scan your computer regularly with it.
  • Install SpywareBlaster
SpywareBlaster will prevent spyware from being installed.
  • Install MVPS Hosts file
This prevents your computer from connecting to harmful sites.
  • Use Firefox browser
Firefox is faster, safer and better browser than Internet Explorer.
  • Keep your systen up-to-date
    Visit Windows Update regularly.
  • Keep your antivirus and firewall up-to-date
Scan your computer regularly with your antivirus.
  • Read this article by TonyKlein
So how did I get infected in the first place?
  • Stand Up and Be Counted !
The site offers people who have been (or are) victims of malware the opportunity to document their story and, in that way, launch a complaint against the malware and the makers of the malware.
Stay clean and be safe
