Here recently I deleted Norton Antivirus 2003 professional from my PC so I could install embarq dsl which comes with virus protection. When trying to download earthlinks protection control center I get an error that says" The PSAPI.DLL file is linked missing export NTDLL.DLL:NtAllocateVirtualMemory." Then it says a device attached to the system is not functoning. Without this software I have no virus protection. I pray someone can help….Thanks

Hi thunderjag
Your version of HJT is out of date.
Go to control panel HJT add and remove programs and delete "HijackThis v1.97.1"

Download the newest version of HijackThis
Create a folder for HijackThis. To make a new permanent folder:
- Go to My Computer
doubleclick C:
- Click File
New
Folder
- type in HJT
You now have a new folder at C:\HJT\
Download the HijackThis self extracting file to your new HJT folder.
- Double click HijackThis_sfx.exe
and select Unzip. When done click OK.
- Close the window.
