Hi, I am a student at Merrimack College. My computer has several problems,

but since I do not have a school computer, the ITC help desk will do

basically nothing for me. I have some type of virus/spyware and nothing that

I have run is helping. I have run A-squared, McAfee anti-virus, Windows

Defender, and nothing found anything, but Windows keeps saying that there is

a virus and stuff keeps popping up. The other problem is a message that

keeps popping up. it says "An unhandled exception has occurred in a component

in your application. Click Continue and application will ignore this error

and attempt to continue." Whenever I hit continue it just pops back up

again. I have a Compaq Presario computer with Windows XP. I need to fix

this problem ASAP or else I could get kicked off of the network because of

the virus. Here is my newest log file from Hijack this.

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Post back with the smitfraudfix log and a new HijackThis log.
