I have a Dell laptop I bought in November 2005, and have been trying my best to keep it in tip top shape. But lately, it has been acting a little strange: IE froze, Outlook is running much slower than usual, and in general, everything seems slower. After IE froze, and I had to END TASK through Task Manager, I rebooted and got the blue screen with the following Tech Info:
0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xF7B0751D, 0XF6AAE91C, 0X00000000)

I rebooted again, got blue screen again with Tech Info:

FS_REC.SYS - ADDRESS F7B0551D BASE AT F7B05000, DATESTAMP 3b7d8361
I rebooted into Safe Mode with Networking.
And that's where I'm at, posting this topic.
The last thing I installed was a definition update for Windows Defender, which was a few hours before the meltdown. (After this is when I began to notice some sluggishness.) There was at least one or 2 other Windows Defender updates installed in the last couple of days. A few days ago, I also installed a few other MS updates to Office, etc. Also, about a week ago, I installed Nero 6 Ultra Edition, but have not actually used the application yet. That's all I can remember for sure.
Please help ASAP, as I cannot function, not to mention work, without this puter! I'm totally codependent!
Thanks!!!

I rebooted again, got blue screen again with Tech Info:
0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xF7B0551D, 0XF6AB291C, 0X00000000)
Thanks!!!
