O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] D:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe Everything I can find about the loading of this references MS Office:I have never had this program.I just have plain XP Home. Is it safe to remove this entry and will it return? Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the quick input. I stumbled across this article and managed to accomplish what I wanted with ticking"turn off advanced text services";under Advanced>Regional Options>Control Panel.
