If you're just wanting to get XP SP2 installed onto that machine, Microsoft sells the SP2 CD for $9.

P.S. It is handy to have the SP2 disk around for future need anyway.

No No, I am talking about the Operating System Disk (to start all over again), how would I be able to get one of them? but cheers for the SP2 details.

Contact Dell. Tell them your story truthfully. And beg. I'm writing that in all sincerity and not mocking when I write it. Sometimes it takes alot of convincing. But it is "available". Some folks have received the complete installation CD set in less than a week, and for only $30. Give it a try. Contact them by phone and have your machine Service Tag and Express Service Code handy.
