im running xp professinal on my pc and then my brother installed(without me knowing) a copy of xp home sp2.. now i have two OS running on my sysytem. is it possible to remove one of the OS? or can i delete all the files in my hardisk and start from scratch??
You cant "un-install" Windows like a program. Its a lot more complicated than that. :(

First, copy any files you want to keep from the OS you want to remove to the OS thats going to be kept.

Next, this may seem complicated, but you have to format the partition where the OS you want to uninstall lives. Ask your brother for information, he should know. If he doesn't want to give you any advice, look here:

Once you have formated the partition, you have to edit the boot.ini file to remove the entry in the boot menu. Now, you will have to provide me contents of a file.

Make sure you can view all system and hidden files and boot into the OS you want to keep. Now, go to the root directory of the OS (C:\) and look for a file called boot.ini, double click on it, copy/paste the contents here.

Then I will give you more steps.
