laptop frequently freezing

My laptop is about a year and a half old and has run very well until recently. For some reason (this has NEVER happened in the past) certain websites, such as my email account and facebook.com, are freezing my computer EVERY time I log on. Any idea what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chances are that you have some form of malware affecting your computer. You are probably going to need to start a new thread with a HijackThis log in the HijackThis subforum. Please read the Before Posting A HijackThis Log "Self Help" thread and carry out the directions there. If you are still having issues at this point, read through and follow the directions here to post a HijackThis log.
