Hi,

This is my first time to post on this forum, and I admit that I know next to nothing about computers so I hope you can help.

I am having problems with ads persistently popping up whatever I am doing and being unable to get rid of them. They all seem to be from the same source "ads.kl8.info". I noticed that another poster had the same problem and was talked through to a solution. Unfortunately it was all a bit above my head. I'll post my "HijackThis" results as that seems the thing to do.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions.

Open HijackThis > Do a System Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows, the only program or window you should have open is HijackThis, check the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

I am not looking at anything real bad on your log, but there is a questionable file that I would like you to upload for analysis.

Go to this site Jotti Upload and under the browse feature, browse to this file C:\WINDOWS\system32\PID41IER.exe
Then click on upload and it will give you a report, post the report in your next reply.

There are infections being written to evade Hijackthis, so go to where you have HJT installed and right click on the HJT Icon [external image: Posted Image] and rename it to Scanner.exe, run the program to Scan and Save a Log File and post a new log into this thread.
