I am not sure just what is going on with my computer now. I have DSL but it is running slower than my old dial up connection did. Plus I have 3 users set up on it and when either of the other 2 log off it locks the computer up and forces me to do a hard restart. I can be working on one page and suddenly the computer just starts going back thru past pages and finally it just freezes up.

I have ran:
SpyBot
ATF Cleaner
Window Washer
CW Shredder
Ad-Aware SE
F-Secure Online Virus Scanner
Bit Defender
ComboFix
Trend Mircro Online Scanner

I also have SpywareBlaster

Nothing seems to help.

Welcome to the Forums.

The fixes we will use are specific to your problems and should only be used for this issue on this machine.

Please only use this topic to reply to. Do not start another thread.
If any other issues arise let me know.
The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear. So lets do this to the end!
Please if you decide to seek help at another forum let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and tying 2 of us up is a waste of time.
If you have any questions about any advice given here please STOP and ask!

Unfortunatly I don't see anything in your HJT log that's serious. Let's do a few other scans to look a bit deeper after we take care of a few small items and a resource hog.

HJT
Run hijackthis and choose scan only and place a check by the following lines if present.
Close all other windows and browsers except HJT before clicking on Fix Checked

If you do not play many online poker games have HJT fix these 2 09 lines.

O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\RunApp.exe (file missing)

You have QuickTime running at Startup. This is QuickTime's system tray icon and not necessary for the program to function properly. It is considered to be a resource hog.
You will still be able to start it manually if you need it. You can fix this with HijackThis, but you will need to change the setting in QuickTime
Player itself to keep it from resetting itself.. This is the item to fix in HijackThis:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

___________________________
nwiz.exe is a part of NVidia's Nview features installable alongside its graphics hardware products. This application will give the user access to additional features which allow the configuration of up to 32 monitors on a host or to expand the desktop across many monitors. This program is not required to start automatically as you can start it manually if you need it. It is advised that you disable this program so that it does not take up necessary resources. It may be worthwhile to fix it with HijackThis. This is the item to fix in HijackThis:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nwiz] nwiz.exe /install

Submit a file to Jotti
Please go here : http://virusscan.jotti.org/
On top of the page there is a field to add the filepath, copy and paste these filepaths: 1 at a time.

C:\Program Files\CamelCasinoInst1.exe

Then hit Submit
The scan will take a while before the result comes up so please be patient.
Then copy the result and post it here in this thread.

If Jotti's service load is too high, you can use the following scanner instead:
http://www.virustotal.com/xhtml/index_en.html

In your next reply I would like to see:
  • A new HJT log
  • The report from AVG
  • The report from kasperskys
  • The reprrt from jottis
Thank you for your help. I truly appreciate it. Here are the logs you requested. For some reason the AVG did not create a log. I pushed the button you requested but it just did not save anything. I looked in the file that the instructions said it would be in but nothing. I opened the program again and clicked on records and it said there were none. In the quarintine there was 4 objects which I removed.

If you don't use that exe any longer (gcv16.EXE) go ahead and either remove the program for it through add remove programs if there is one. Or just delete the exe.

I'm sorry jerrysantiques it doesn't look as if this issue is malware related. Thus leaving my area of expertise.

If you have a windows XP cd you can try this.

Place the cd in the drive and exit the window that opens promting you to install windows.

Click start/run and type in exactly sfc /scannow This will check for corrupt and missing files that are important to the proper running of windows.
Hers a link to instructions on how to use this. It may also answer any questions you have on using this tool.

Running scan disk. Open MY computer right click on C drive/ choose properties/tools fisrt select error checking /select check now.. Choose both optins in the next window. You will be asked to restart. When you restart this toll will run. This may take a while. So don't use this if you have to work with the machine..

You can try defragmenting.
Follow the same steps for scan disk just this time choose defragment.

Hers a couple of other links to forums that may be able to help you with this problem from people more qualified for this sort of problem.
