Looks to be an error "floating point division by zero" that is being created by the application (ultima) If this is an online game application, there are often "patches" required to update the local version of the game software to be compatible as the online game authors/hosts make changes. I think his best best would be to contact support at ultima. notice there is a link in the error message for "technical information". That might be a place to start. Otherwise, there may be "forums" for the gamers, where he may find someone who has solved a similar or identical problem. Best Regards
yeah, I know. Not a very satisfying answer. But it does look to be specific to the application ultima 10. Other things he can do? General computer machine maintenance Delete junk and temporary internet files. Defrag close other background programs Uninstall older versions of JAVA prior to installing the new version which is version 10. Find out if Ultima "depends" on FlashPlayer 8 If he's running an older version, have him use the FlashPlayer removal tool prior to installing FlashPlayer8 Find out if he has enough "free space" on his hard drive. Find out how much RAM he has and if it is adequate. Maybe help him configure for more Virtual Memory. Update the Drivers for his Video Card Make sure the machine is running DirectX 9.0c Make sure the operating system is completely updated. Check for Heat - dust bunnie problems. Check for stable voltage on all rails from his PSU When uninstalling/reinstalling Ultima 10 be sure to delete any Ultima installer routines in C:\program files\common and C:\windows\downloaded program files, and C:\windows\downloaded Installations Delete any remnant files from the folder created in C:\program files\Ultima 10 (or whatever it's called)
