Hi calias69

Couple of questions:
Is this a work computer?
Are you running a dual boot system or multi-boot system.?

Use notepad to open C:\boot.ini and post it's contents here

Thanks dan
Hi Dan I just got back on the 13th Im not sure what a dualboot or multiboot is but all I know is I am the only person using this puter. Its not for work and I use XP as a OS. However….I have another hard drive I put in that was on my other computer…it was used for work and has XP Pro as a OS. I use the older hard drive for storage. Im not sure how to "Use notepad to open C:\boot.ini and post it's contents here" but I copy/pasted the command in the RUN and what is below came up Good to get going again calias69 [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
