Hi, My computer spontanously opens the disk drive tray for no apparent reason. Computer is working fine other than that. Ideas? Sorry to hear of the problem with the cd drive tray opening at random.

This can be a sympton associated with malware present on your system. I say "can be associated" as there could be a perfectly innocent explanation.
