Trojans and backdoor dialers

Good afternoon, I am after some help from people in the know. I keep getting trojans viruses and backdoor dialers warnings appear on my pc, but cannot find anyway of getting rid if them. I am about to embark in financial txns on my pc and need to have piece of mind that my pc is not infected. Is there some way of identifying where they are and how to get rid of them for good. What do you recommend as being the best software to protect your pc? Any help would be grateful. Cheers, Mark

The first step is to make sure you have a firewall, either the Windows Firewall or one like Comodo.

After you have a firewall that is enabled on your computer, you need to get a good Antivirus program. Some free contenders are Antivir, Avast!, and AVG. Ewido is a good anti-trojan tool and may be a good one for you to run.

You'll also want to run Spybot - Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware regularly.

The level of protection is dependent upon use and personal preference, but these will provide a good starting point.
