Thats great,  I found out also that when we delete it , Trendmicro just recreates it. :P

The rest of your log looks fine

I hope you learned something here about keeping yourself safe online. You can't just download things at will and click on everything that is flashing in your browser.

Don't forget to update your Java

How did I get infected in the first place ? Read these links and find out how to prevent getting infected again.

System Restore <– Do this first to prevent reinfecting yourself.

Thanks for stopping by Tom Coyote Glad things are well and I was able to help you.
Thanks. I think the computer got infected by my kids who used the machine one day. Time to get them their own machine. Two things remain. I noticed 888bar was in the control panel. I will monitor this one. I believe it creates a bunch of popups in IE… Also - there is still a large file called C:\Program Files\FaronicsAE\ which I think was part of the malware. It contains 150,000 files and 16 meg… Any idea what it's associated with?
C:\Program Files\FaronicsAE This seems to be some sort of process manger. If you don't use or want it, try to uninstall in via the Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

I see no entries on your log for 888bar. Try removing that also.

Look for these files and delete them if present.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00001.dll
C:\Program Files\Common Files\{3889DC08-064E-1033-0120-021213200001}\888Bar.dll
C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\{38656286-03EA-1033-1226-010106000001}\\Update.exe

Let me know if they were present and if you could get rid of them.
Didn't find any of those files….

Don't think we're done yet…. still see something.

Here is a hijack log… I'm leary of the stuff in red and of a process call VSAddin which I found in the control panel.
