I tried to get rid of this malware. It has taken control of IE (can not delete temp files, history or cookies.. its is greyed out) . No control of my desktop, access to background is greyout. The "new background is blue with the caption : Warning! Sbyware threat detected on your PC….

a pop ballon comes out every minute or so

I tried Smithfraud Fix on Safe Mode and it willl detect and delete malware. It will not prompt me if I want to replace wininet.dll ( maybe it could not find a clean version?) and it will give me access to desktop and IE settings but …..as soon I boot back on Normal Mode…..the malware reapears
