I noticed when surfing that i recieved a few more pop ups than normal all at once and my desktop changed to something that says "Warning - your computer may be infected with ~blah, blah, blah". I've run Yahoo's spyware system and after several Mcafee updated virus scans, it says there is the Alemod.e.dll virus in my wininet.dll file. Other than my desktop being changed (which the display properties have changed too, not allowing me to manually set it back) I have a hijacked home page which the settings do not match in my IE internet options. I have tried to delete as much as possible with Mcafee and Anti-spy and from there tried to disable system restore and reboot into safe-mode, set file attributes in DOS window, and clean the file(s). However, I cannot shake it. HELP!!!!
