I am a relatively experienced computer user suffering through my first major malware infection. This is day two. I have somewhat successfully dealt with a few of my problems (smitfraud removal tool and Ewido) but I am still plagued with a "Malicious Software Removal Wizard" pop-up and I believe other resource-stealing gremlins. Computer boots painfully slow (it was never very fast even out of the box). Online scans (TrendMicro & Panda) crash before completion. Symantec anti-virus Corporate Edition was uninstalled and Windows OneCare was immediately installed. Ewido found and removed trojan.small & trojan.pakes. Rebooted into safe mode and ran HijackThis. Log pasted below. Not sure what I’m seeing in the log, but some entries look suspicious (BHO no name??). Also, OneCare firewall is blocking Microsoft MediaLoad. Might be legit, but suspect not.

Computer is a Gateway M280 convertible with XP tablet edition. All Microsoft updates/patches are in place. Any help and guidance appreciated. Thanks in advance :D – J.
