Hi, my notebook (Windows XP system) can come up in about 1 minutes if there is some form of networking available, but if there is not (e.g. when I use it in a building without wireless networks, or when I deliberately turn off the wireless switch and do not connect a network cabel), then it takes at least 5 minutes to start up, during which time I can do nothing. If I turn off all the non-Microsoft services and all the startup applications using msconfig, then it actually starts up very fast, but then will take forever to even launch a simplest program. Also, in this case, when I adjust the enabling/disabling settings in msconfig and click "Ok", it very often becomes not responding. And again, if it can connect to some network, then the startup time is ok. This is really annoying because I frequently have to bring it to places without networking to use it. Is there any way this can be fixed? Thanks!
