I have an ongoing problem that seems to originate in a svchost process that runs at startup. The process is attempting to use my internet connection on a repetitive basis(about once a second). It creates a [system process]:0 with a time_wait status for each event, I suspect because I have TrendAntivirus's firewall blocking it. It may just be a program trying to phone home to update. I also have two network connection icons in my task bar that are active when this is going on. CLicking their status buttons shows one as a "local area connection" that seems to be pretty normal. The other comes up as "Internet gateway" with services of "BT-ELUD" at port 52167 and "BT-NA2c" at port 47674. when the problem is occuring I can't status that one - I have to have Trend disable the network access completely, which seems to temporarily stop the repetitive accesses, and then I can see its status. Eventually, in an hour or so after reneabling the network access, it will start back up again.

I have adaware'd, spybot'd, virusscan'd, and if you would like I have captured some sysinternal stuff on this if it would help…

Here is my Hijack log:
