My wife's Win2k computer got hit with spyware/adware last Friday while my daughter was using it. Right now, I can only boot using a win2k boot disk and booting into safe mode with command prompt. I have run both ad-aware and spybot s&d (latest versions) according to the instructions under self-help, and they both found and removed lots of stuff, but since I'm in safe mode, I can't download the updates, so I'm sure I'm missing lots of stuff, and the problem persists. Is it possible to download the updates onto my machine in such a way that I can transfer them via cd to the infected machine? I'm an experienced computer/windows user. thanks for any help you can offer
