My computer has been under attack from malaware, 2search and a number of different Trojans.
It is now clear however significant damage seems to have been done to Windows files where service packs do not show up as having been fully downloaded and I cannot seem to download them again. Any advice on how to repair Windows?

Download and Update Spybot Search & Destroy v 1.4.
Download and Update Ad-Aware SE Personal v 1.06
Reboot into SAFE Mode and run both utilities allowing them to fix/remove any identified items.
Download HighJackThis.exe into its own folder such as C:\HighJackThis\HighJackThis.exe
Get HighJackThis.exe from http:\\www.radiosplace.com
Run HJT.exe as "Run a system scan and save a log file".
Open a new topic over in the HJT Forum for assistance in cleaning up your machine.
Do not attempt updating of your Windows operating system until you have successfully completed the HJT Forum Advisors instructions to clean up your machine.
