Can someone please jelp me figure out my Hijack This log?

Internet explorer displayed a page which told me that my current my.yahoo page was a cached out of date version. It gave me the option of loading a new page by clicking a button. Once I 9foolishly) did that, my my.yahoo page always gets redirected to http://e.my.yahoo.com/config/my_init?.intl…tner=my&.from=i

If I go into I.E.’s Tools, Internet Options, General tab and try and change my default home page, it always reverts back to http://e.my.yahoo.com/config/my_init?.intl…tner=my&.from=i

If I delete the Internet Explorer program, it automatically puts a copy of iexplore.exe, back in the Internet Explorer directory.

AdAware cleared some registry values which it said were redirecting to a Chinese web site, but this did not resolve the problem.

McAfee’s virus software has twice popped up and said that I had a Trojan and cleaned a file it described as an Exploit Obscured HTML documents and settings\username \ local settings\temp\ V1H4RA0288

But that did not resolve the problem either. I have tried CounterSpy, Spysweeper, Adaware, Spybot, Norton Antivirus, Ewido, and Mcafee all failed to resolve the issue. None of these programs can detect the problem.
Can anyone help?

Hi
I re-ran Hijack This and am pasting the log below.
We ran a whole bunch of anti-spyware software and then finally I was able to change the IE homepage by running CounterSpy in Safe Mode. I was also able to download IE 7 Beta and install it.
I am not sure if everything is OK or not. (I usually use Firefox for most of my browsing, but some sites require IE to work right) It seems to be OK, but Zone Alarm popped up a few times saying someone was trying to change the homepage from a URL that wasn't even set to be the homepage, which sounded weird to me.
I am afraid to purchase anything online now, even though the anti-spyware doesn't seem to find anything major.
Could you please eyeball the HJT log and tell me if anything looks suspicious?
Thanks

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Thanks LDTate.
I did what you said, except there was nothing in the recycle bin to empty after I had HJT fix the things you indicated. Is that normal, or did something not get removed that was supposed to get removed?
For the most part the computer seems to be running OK, except now CounterSpy detects something called "O", and no matter how many times I click Remove, it can't seem to get rid of it. I have no idea if this O thing is at all related to my previous problems.
I re-ran HJT as you asked. Here is the log. I hope it looks OK now. (Any idea what O is and how I can be rid of it?)
Thanks

except now CounterSpy detects something called "O", and no matter how many times I click Remove, it can't seem to get rid of it

Can you give me the location of the file?
Lets try this and see if it goes away.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, Uncheck "Show hidden files and folders."
Check "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Thanks for your help. I actually was able to get a new version of CounterSpy installed through their tech support which no longer detects the problem. So I am going to hold off on eliminating the restore points for now. Thanks again for all your help :)
