Hi,

I have a desktop and laptop both wireless to my Wanadoo livebox…… XP, Windows Firewall and AVG.

Have done AV, Adaware and Spybot scans to find nothing ??

Firstly I noticed bandwith very low when using both pc's then the mouse moving by itself as well as configuration changes being made too often, especially regarding networking.

Herewith log, (sorry if I am posting in wrong part of forum as newbie to forums)

Hello and welcome to the forum With Ewido 4, if you click on the Infections icon, then it will show you all the items in Quarrantine and you can remove them that way. Just click Select All (if all of the items in quarrantine need removing) then Remove Finally "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Hi there, many thanks for your assistance….. As per your instructions, I removed all infections from Ewido and now just performing a full scan (takes abt an hour) so will revert then with a log!!!! PC seems OK at present, kinda panicked as thought I was hacked cause bandwith constantly low but I guess dodgy processes, BHO's etc can slow you down. Please can you clarify what this line is in HJT O23 - Service: SecuROM User Access Service (V7) (UserAccess7) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\UAService7.exe Cause when I go into System Tools (Computer Management) - Application, Security and System there are far too many exclamation marks and errors. I sincerely appreciate your time and help!! Cheers, Sarah.
Name
SecuROM User Access Service
Filename
UAService7.exe
Description
Used by virtual CD programs like Alcohol to access CD images protected by SecureROM.

That's OK.

Please post a new HJT log after the scan. Rememeber to reboot first

Log looks good :D  How is it running any issues?

You need to create a new Clean restore point.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, Uncheck "Show hidden files and folders."
Check "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

If you dont have these programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D

I would also suggest you read this:
So how did I get infected in the first place?
