In the last few days any Google or other search provides results - but when I click on a result I'm redirected to either another search, another search engine, a porn site, e-Bay - you name it. Help! Here is my Hijackthis log

Your computer has been hijacked by people in the Ukraine. What you have is a Wareout infection.

Please download FixWareout from one of these links:

* Save it to your desktop.
* Close all other windows and programs, then and run it.
* Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
* The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
* You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
* Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
* Once the desktop loads a text will open (report.txt). We'll need that in a bit.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):
(Note: Fixwareout.exe may have removed some of these)

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Delete all of the following noted (in red) file(s)/FOLDER(s) you can find:

bogobot.exe <— file

c:\windows\system32\dmukb.exe <— file

c:\windows\system32\doriot.exe <— file

c:\windows\system32\dswms.dll <— file

cmon14.exe <— file

defect08.exe <— file

mstcpdll.exe <— file

slamm.exe <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.

Also open this file with Notepad:

C:\fixwareout\report.txt

And paste it's contents into your next post.

Could you please post a new HijackThis! log, and the contents of C:\fixwareout\report.txt?

Just because you do not experience the "problem" any longer doesn't insure there aren't any leftover malware items on your machine.

I just want to be sure we get it all.

And I'd also like you to run one online virus scan:

Panda Activescan

When it get's finished, save the report, then post it in here beacuse this entry in the log:

Was a sign of this infection:

Troj/Small-KY

It can download other malware to your machine that doesn't show up in a HijackThis! log file.
