Restart and safe mode help!

When i try to get the boot menu up at a restart with f8 nothing happens it just goes through its usual process, when i hit ctrl a boot menu comes up, but my keyboard doesnt work afterwords, ive been trying to remove smit fraud and SpywareQuake(May the creator of this program burn in hell for the rest of eternity) but without safe mode im screwed beyond all reason, also trying to start in safemode by using the diagnostic startup in msconfig doesnt work either, someone please help me before it destroys my computer!!
