Spybot & AdAware Clean... Now What?

Okay, here's what's going on with my links. When I do a search on Google (I honestly haven't tried using another search engine, because I just wouldn't.), and I click on a link, sometimes it will go someplace completely different, ie: Ebay with a search for what I just searched for, or most recently I searched for CWShredder and clicking on the link I got a site that sold paper shredders (CWS was clean too). If I go back and click the same link three or four times, it will redirect to the other site, and eventually will go where I wanted the link to take me. I run AdAware and Spybot weekly (neither of which have found anything), and have Spyware Blaster installed as well. Is there any suggestions anyone has? Here's my HJT log:

Welcome to the forum :wavey:

I see one "unknown quantity" in your log.

Let's check it out.

Please go to these free online file checkers:

Kaspersky Online File Scanner

Jotti Online File Scanner

VirusTotal Online File Scanner

And submit this file for a scan:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\cdm32.dll

Let me know the results.
:)
Thanks for the warm welcome! I fix this junk for a living, so if I wasn't really bugged (pardon the pun), I wouldn't be here. Here's what I got from two out of the three (I didn't do the one with the email option) C:\WINDOWS\system32\cdm32.dll apparently is spyware or a trojan. I ran a Symantec scan (virus files current as of June 1st) and it came up clean. According to Kapersky it is: Scanned file: cdm32.dll - Infected cdm32.dll - infected by not-a-virus:AdWare.Win32.BHO.aa And according to Jotti, it is: File: cdm32.dll Status: INFECTED/MALWARE MD5 8ded651e7793bffab656d0027768c7ff Packers detected: - Scanner results AntiVir Found Adware-Spyware/BHO.aa.1 adware ArcaVir Found nothing Avast Found Win32:Trojano-3384 AVG Antivirus Found nothing BitDefender Found Trojan.BHO.WebPrefix.A ClamAV Found nothing Dr.Web Found Adware.Bho F-Prot Antivirus Found W32/Downloader.MNI Fortinet Found Adware/KeenValue Kaspersky Anti-Virus Found not-a-virus:AdWare.Win32.BHO.aa NOD32 Found a variant of Win32/Adware.BHO.AA application Norman Virus Control Found W32/BHO.X UNA Found nothing VirusBuster Found nothing VBA32 Found Trojan-Downloader.Agent.49 (probable variant) So yes, it's something. I'll research on how to get rid of it, if it's something as simple as just deleting that dll file or not, or if it will come back if I do that. Thanks for the help Micah. (Good verse by the way)
This is what I suggest you do:

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {303B5909-65EE-41AB-8C7F-0FD34964E49F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\cdm32.dll

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot.

Try some Google searches to see if the "hijack" has disappeared.

Please let me know the results.

:)
Post Infection Items To Ponder
Clearing those out helped. Thanks again for your assistance. I just wish I knew more about what the Adware was. All the sites I found were in either Spanish or German, so who knows where it came from.
