Hi, I believe some sort of sidebar find it's way onto my pc now when I try to open a window from a website I get the message "There are not enough system resources to run this application. Please close one or more applications and try again." Then an IE window opens up and allows the screen to be scene along with a bunch of pop ups.

Thanks for any help you can give me. Here's my log:

Hello Alicia and welcome to TomCoyote forum. If you still need help, I will see what I can do. First, if you must run HJT from the Desktop, please make a folder and put HJT.exe and the log that should be there into that folder. Backups for safety will also store there. It will look like this:
C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\HJT\HIJACKTHIS.EXE

1) First this program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\VIEWPOINT\VIEWPOINT MANAGER\VIEWMGR.EXE please read about it in the links:
http://www.clickz.co...cle.php/3561546
http://www.greatis.c...viewmgr.exe.htm
http://www.spywarein...4.php#viewpoint
I suggest you use Add Remove programs to uninstall that junk.

2) I see this: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfigReminder] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\msconfig.exe /reminder
it seems to be indicating that you have programs turned off in MSConfig. If this is the case, please enable normal startup so I can see everything.

3)

I believe some sort of sidebar find it's way onto my pc now when I try to open a window from a website I get the message

Can you tell me what this sidebar is? I see a lot of junk, including:
O2 - BHO: SidebarAutoLaunch Class - {F2AA9440-6328-4933-B7C9-A6CCDF9CBF6D} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\YAHOO!\BROWSER\YSIDEBARIEBHO.DLL
and I do not want to remove something vallid that you use.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapp.../search/ie.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapp.../search/ie.html
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapp...//www.yahoo.com
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file)
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {120E090D-9136-4b78-8258-F0B44B4BD2AC} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ms.exe
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: MaxSpeed - {120E090D-9136-4b78-8258-F0B44B4BD2AC} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ms.exe

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.n...1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ms.exe <<< file in red

Click on Start > Run > type "cleanmgr" without the quotes. Allow the program to run until finished, then allow windows to delete what it found.

Restart the computer and post a new HJT log, any information I requested above and any comment you think will help.

Thanks...pskelley

Thank you for your help. As far as the sidebar, I don't see anything unusual. Some sort of sidebar tried to install itself and I wasn't sure if I stopped it from d/l or not. That was when IE began acting strange.

I followed your instructions the best that I could. I could not locate this: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ms.exe <<< file in red. Removed directed items and ran cleanmgr.

Here's my new log:
