Hi,

Recently, I have started getting popups that always say "Click2begin" before taking me to some ad site. They appear everytime I start Internet Explorer and almost everytime I change to a different webpage. Also, some of the words and parts of links on every webpage are colored green and take me to ad sites if clicked. Lastly, the internet is going really slow and freezes for a minute or two while loading webpages.
I have been trying to fix this for weeks now but have not had any luck. I have AVG antivirus and have also tried running Ewido anti-malware, Spybot search and destroy, and Spyware Guard. Please help me fix this!
These problems are really starting to annoy me and I would greatly appreciate any help. Here is my Hijack this log:

Hello Jon and welcome to TomCoyote forum. If you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, this is what I would like for you to do.

1) Read this: http://castlecops.com/startuplist-2643.html and this: http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/libra…ing/index.phtml
Now Start > Control Panel > Add Remove programs and uninstall P2P Networking and RXToolBar if there and anything else you know should not be there. If you are not sure, let me know and I will look.

2) Open ewido and update the program, then close it.

3) SpywareGuard may block our fix, right click on it in the system tray. Right click > File > Exit. It will be put back on reboot.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O2 - BHO: web compressor - {23FB5ADD-DA37-4a40-9FC0-B0E2384CDE92} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsw48.dll
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {9A9C9B68-F908-4AAB-8D0C-10EA8997F37E} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\system32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART
O18 - Filter: text/html - {2AB289AE-4B90-4281-B2AE-1F4BB034B647} - C:\Program Files\RXToolBar\sfcont.dll

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Enable hidden files&folders..reverse the process when finished.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\P2P Networking\ >>> folder

C:\Program Files\RXToolBar\ >>> folder

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_…refetch-XP.html

Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

Now use these instructions to start your computer in safe mode: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html
Once in safe mode open ewido and click on scanner then complete system scan. Allow ewido to delete what it locates unless you know it is not bad. Save that scan report, I must see it.

Restart the computer and post the ewido scan results, a new HJT log and any comments you think will help.

Thanks…pskelley

Hello Jon, great job of following the directions  your HJT log is clean of malware.
Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
http://boards.cexx.org/viewtopic.php?t=957
http://russelltexas.com/malware/allclear.htm

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

If you must use file sharing programs, you can find safe programs here:
