Hello and welcome to TomCoyote forum. Please follow these directions carefully.

Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix

Please download VundoFix v4.2.35 to the Desktop:

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it
* Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task
* You will receive a message saying VundoFix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
* When VundoFix re-opens, click: Scan for Vundo
* Once it's done scanning, click: Remove Vundo
* A prompt asking if you want to remove the files appears, click: Yes
* Once you click yes, the Desktop goes blank as it starts removing Vundo.
* When completed, a prompt to shutdown the computer appears, click OK
* Turn the computer back on.

Post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HJT log along with your comments.


C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\ <<< your Java program is out of date and that may be the reason you are infected. Use this information in this link: http://forums.spybot...read.php?t=2559
to get it up to date. I suggest you set the Java updates to automatic if no one is going to update it manually.

Thanks for returning your information, your HJT log is clean, and as far as I can see with no comments from you, things should be back to normal.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

I also suggest a good cleaner at this point. If you don't have one, use this one, with these directions.
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.
