OS: Windows XP Home (sp2)

Security Update for Excel 2003 (KB905756)

A security vulnerability exists in Microsoft Office Excel 2003 that could allow arbitrary code to run when opening a malicious document. This update addresses that vulnerability.

I can't the above update to install....either through MS "Office Update" or by manually downloading it. I get a "INSTALLATION FAILED" message everytime.

Anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks.

Are you logged-on to your computer with an Administrator Privileges Account? That would be required to download and install.

UPDATE: The following worked (retrieved from Juliet's link above)

http://support.micro....com/?id=884298

Also make sure you START the "Office Source Engine" service through Control Panel > Performance and Maintanence > Administrative Tools > Services....prior to updating.

Worked like a charm! Thanks Juliet!!! :)
