I try and remove the imesh toolbar from my add or remove , but it sais error loading c:\progra-1\imesh\bar\4.bin\meshbar.dll the specified module could not be found dont think its causing a problem ,its just a pain that its not letting me delete
Hi Billy,

While iMesh still claims to be spyware free, many anti-spyware sites have identified bundled spyware and other unsavory tactics from this company. It came into being around the time that Napster took a fall, and has had loads of business and users, but I would still treat it and its associates as spyware. It may even have bundle-installed New dot Net and MySearch and iWon. Not good.

You've tried the right first strategy to uninstall it by using Add/Remove as below:

Follow these removal instruction to remove iMesh from your computer( Before proceeding, you should move any documents in iMesh folder that you wish to keep):

Click Start > Settings > Control Panel, and double-click Add/Remove Programs.
Scroll down the list till you find the iMesh entry. Then click Remove or Change/Remove. Follow the on screen instruction to finish the uninstallation automatically.
Open the Program Files directory and delete the iMesh folder along with all the files within it.
Return to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and locate iMesh ads support.
Select iMesh ads support and click Change/Remove .
Since iMesh may be bundled with other adware, you may have to remove these adwares as well:

eZula TopText , New.Net , CommonName , FlashTrack

However, some other security scanner that you've used may already have tried to remove or disable the malicious parts of it, or you have done so manually, or you tried to uninstall via Add/Remove "iMesh ads support" before removing the main iMesh entry, thus creating the difficulty when using Add/Remove.

You may be able to get a clean uninstallation using Add/Remove if you first "re-install" iMesh toolbar, and then immediately use Add/Remove to uninstall it.

I would strongly recommend that you also dowload and install and then update Spybot Search & Destroy version 1.4 to work on the probable other malware that accompanies iMesh.

When using Spybot S&D 1.4, first select Mode - Advanced Mode - Settings - Ignore Products and remove any of the default check-marks of products. You will notice that a few items are marked to ignore, like new dot net, mysearch, sidesearch, cd-illa and a few others. If you use Turbo Tax, you may want to leave cd-illa (as much as I hate back-door monitoring), but will not experience difficulty with the other items.
Do not change any other settings in Advanced Mode.

Then close Settings and Select Default Mode and run the scan.
Allow Spybot S&D to remove or remove on re-boot any items it identifies in Red.

Please keep us posted with your results.
After you have completed the above I will recommend some online scans.
It will help to know what scanning utilities you have onboard already, like antivirus and antispyware.
Best Regards
