Adaware Defs update problem

Hi Could some tell me why every time i start ad-aware i keep getting the message that the defs are out of date, this happens even if i download the latest updates, as soon as they are installed and i try to use the program, i am told that the defs are out of date. I have tried installing/ reinstalling the program, but the same problem happens. There is no spy-ware/ malware on the computer, and have no problems with any thing else. Thanks for any help with this.
