After cleaning my PC (windows XP media edition), I now have only one problem… after removing a trojan which was denying me access to the internet, my PC now starts slowly and I get this error message upon launching any program after boot: svchost.exe The instruction at "0x009996bc" referenced memory at "0x00000000." The memory could not be "written." Click OK to terminate Click Cancel to debug Usually I click debug and have few problems thereafter, but sometimes the error is recurring. I know what svchost.exe does, and as it's integral to Windows, I'm afraid of making things worse by fooling with it. Does anyone have any advice? I will name my next hard drive after the kind soul who can assist me :) -Mark
