Pesky Toolbar Thingy

Hi … Has anyone else had a maddening horizontal scroll message along the IE6 and Outlook Express Toolbar which reads: Finalizing Installation. It just appeared about a week ago … New XP was completely installed about 3 months ago. Have tried lotsa rebooting, reconfiguring toolbars, etc but NOTHING removes the :rant: I don't think it's a virus thing. A HijackThis log, posted in the appropriate forum, can point out wether or not it is malware-related Always assume it might be.

Just wanted to thank you for all your help. Turned out to be that pesky HotBar nightmare from the insidiously-named SpamBlocker evil witches from hell. Digits crossed her puter is now clear. Great to know there's such solid support from all you gurus
