Hi I ran WinDbg and came out with this msg, any1 work out which driver is causeing me the problem? Thanks in advance IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a) An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually caused by drivers using improper addresses. If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace. Thanks for the help Shelf Life its most appreciated, any idea how i would go about either removing (or replacing) this driver? its weird cause i've never had anything 2 do with my mouse (bog standard mouse, not even laser). Thanks
hi, how often is it happeneing? are you getting a BSOD? try running system file checker, go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in: sfc /scannow may need the original xp install cd
Yes i get regular BSOD's - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and once i did recieve a mouclass.sys referance on the BSOD (this is y i started using windbg). The error is fairly intermittent, sometimes it'll happen 2 or 3 times in an hour and other times its wont happen for 2 or 3 days, it never happens when for example im playing a high res application (game etc) generally when im surfing or using the desktop. I'll try the sfc /scannow asap and let you no the results, thanks for the reply
