Well.. you have 24 items starting up at boot (starting with windows) that you dont need. With XP, you can uncheck everything in startup. Also you might need to get your services under control.. First off though clean up your startup. Click on start/ then run/ type msconfig and hit enter. Under the startup tab go through and uncheck what your not using. Everything there (which is an icon in your system tray.. were your clock is) is constantly sending and recieving information.. which takes up resources.. so kill some of that stuff from starting. Remember your not uninstalling.. or delelting.. anything. Just keeping it from starting up with windows. If something is different when you rreboot that you dont like.. simply go back and recheck it. Once you reboot and cleaning that up, you will get a popup saying that your using the system configuration utility…blah..blah.. just check the box that says "do not show this again" then click ok.
WOW! I have been going through hell for the past 3 weeks to try and get this fixed, downloading all sorts of carp** etc etc….and I just did what you said and my printer just started printing instantly, thank you thank you…..
