any help would be appreciated
Hello S E 7 E N, sorry for the wait, we are extremely busy :( You do indead have some nasty stuff left onboard, including this gem: http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/pest/pe…px?id=453074892 I usually run ewido security suite but since you have spysweeper, we will give it a try. I would like you to do this:

1) Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp and please do not run it until I ask you to.

2) Download, update, configure and run these two programs: http://tomcoyote.org/aawsb.php
The newest version of Ad-aware is 1.06 and Spybot 1.04. Even if you have these programs, use the link to get the newest version, update and configure them as in the link. Run Spybot first, reboot then run Ad-aware. Both programs back up what they remove so delete anything the programs say should be removed.

3) Be offline, then disable Spysweeper as it may block our HJT fix:
Open the program
Select: Options (on the left)
Select: Program Options
Uncheck: Load at windows startup
On the left, click: Shields, and uncheck all there items
Uncheck: Home Page Shield
Uncheck: Automatically restore default without notification

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = C:\WINDOWS\secure32.html
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://ecmh.com/searchbar.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/…//www.yahoo.com
O4 - Global Startup: Suitcase Startup.lnk = ?

NetSource101

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

5) Enable Spysweeper, update and run it.

6) Run CCleaner, when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do. Then restart the computer and post a new HJT log in this same thread along with any feedback you have. Let me know how you are running now.

Thanks…pskelley

Hello S E 7 E N, Keep in mind that Spybot searches for different stuff than Spysweeper. Good to hear you are running better. My help is free but I am sure Tom can use all of the donations he can get. Your HJT log is clean, and I wish you safe surfing.
Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
