Data Execution Prevention

Hello All, I hope this is the correct place to post and sorry if it is not. I installed PSP7 and downloaded some Alphas 2 days ago. When I tried using the animation shop of PSP7 and pulling in the Alphas I would get the DEP window that said Windows has closed this program. Name of program: Windows Explorer, Publisher: Micorsoft Corp. I've tried reading Microsofts website about this but just do not understand what they are telling me. So I uninstalled PSP and this did not help. I ran Adaware, Spybot S&D, and Avast-all coming up clean except for a few cookies which I deleted. Then I did a restore back to prior to installing PSP7. Thought that had worked but apparently not. I just ran a hijackthis log and got the dreaded DEP window with the same message as above. The program is still Windows Explorer and publisher Microsoft of course. As I was trying to copy the header of the log the DEP window came up again. Am I having serious trouble with my system? Any help is greatly appreciated because I certainly do not know what to do.
