No matter what I do - or how I have Internet Options set, when I open IE, it always goes straight to the Microsoft Update Page. I have all current updates. This started while in Olathe KS at the Holiday in there, I used their Wireless Internet Service through a "bridge" because my laptop doesn't have wireless modem
Also, I've uninstalled Counterspy, but for some reason the sunasServ.exe and sunasDTserv.exe files will not allow me to delete them and they keep coming back into the startup folder. I've tried removing Mnyexpr.exe also which was part of Microsoft Money which was uninstalled, but it also keeps coming back.
I've gone into the registry and changed my Default Search page and Start Page to msn.com and also yahoo.com but I can exit out and go back in, and they are back to microsoftupdate. and my.yahoo. This is really frustrating… anything you can do to help will be appreciated… here's my log:

Hello SpiderTrax, I am sorry for the wait, we are extremely busy :( I may be able to help with some of these problems, as I look down the log I see items I will look at closer if we proceed, but I see nothing that should be malware in nature. It seems to me that your spyware programs, Ad-Watch and WinPatrol are stopping the changes you wish to make. When we use HJT we have to turn these programs off, both will block changes but Ad-Watch does such a good job that sometimes it has to be uninstalled to remove malware with HJT and then reinstalled. You may want some time to try this yourself, then if you wish me to remove items from the log, list the items and post a new log. I hope this helps.

I also wish to ask that your refrain from multiple posts, this does not help you and only adds to the confusion, here is the proper proceedure:

Sorry about the multiple posts. It was meant to be just one, but there was a problem when I hit submit, and it sent the thing 4 times.

Anyway… I got the problem solved - actually I was telling the IT guy at work about it, so he had me bring it in so he could look at it. He took it home - the next day he brought it back - problem solved. The Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta had configured itself to automatically check for updates anytime IE was opened. He corrected that, reset my Home Page and Search Page and it hasn't given me any trouble since.

Something to remember in event someone has same problem. The part I don't like is, these IT guys don't seem to like other people knowing their secrets and tricks because he wouldn't tell me HOW he fixed it… or maybe it was too much detail and he thought I wasn't at his level so as to understand it…

Anyway….thanks for checking it. I do appreciate it.
Thanks for that information, i'll bet if you dig around in the MAS configuration you could figure it out. I guess i'll have to install MAS soon so I can look it over. Hard to answer questions otherwise. I was waiting for the product to clear Beta…

Since you are clean, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
