Hello I'm looking for some advice on what to install before I hop on my cable connection I have some idea but maybe I've missed something thankyou in advance. Ska

Are you going to be updating a previous version of Windows or will this be a "vanilla" installation (fresh installation)? If you have room on your harddrive, I would reccomend a fresh install. Just put the Windows Installation cd in and reboot (make sure your boot order is set to boot from cd drive before hard drive). When it asks you to "Press Any Key To Boot From CD" .. do so. Then simply follow the instructions. Windows will format, partition and install. Once you've got it installed then just make sure your network settings are correct and turn on your firewall. Then your set.
